Marion becomes Governor of Mars early on in the series and always
manages affairs with her management team in a conscientious and
moral manner—including a war, invasion by rapacious aliens, and
rescuing the Tavern, among other crises. She and Daniel ultimately
marry and continue their working lives, balancing their personal and
professional roles as best they can.
